I am, in simplist terms, complicated. Multi-facted. We all are, if we are honest. I truly believe God made us to be multi-deminsional. However, many of us hide layers of ourselves. I find more and more struggle to hide in that. Sometimes it causes chaos, but I find it freeing.
I’m a bold person, when you get to know me. Yet life has made me vulnerable in my core. Those who know me best, know those areas. Social media brings new challenges to me, as I step out and reveal pieces– as God grows me. I become more and more unafraid to share who I am.
Several times in my life I have taken tests for things like: ”personality”, and “management style”, “educational style”, “teaching style”, and they all come back fairly “global” in their assesment, meaning that I am pretty evenly spread out. My husand jokingly calls this my mutiple personality disorder. One never knows which moment I’ll be in which mode of communication, learning, teaching, etc. In reality, I think globablly. I see things from many angels, and I accept a wide varitey of people in all situations, life styles, life stages ,etc. But it does at times make other people uncomfortable as I am an outside the box thinker, and pretty opinionated, and tend to speak my mind, all the while as I grow, I hide less and less behind a huge facade I once lived in. Behind it all, is my deep passionate love and commitment to Christ, my Savior, Who truly is my all in all. I believe my life’s purpose is to glorify God and all He has done in my life, in spite of much sorrowing and suffering. I hope you see Him intertwined in each piece of me.
I am a wife to David. Mother to two amazing children, whom doctors told us we should never have. Author. Living actively with spina bifida. Certified nutritional consultant who believes there is a balance and a connection between natural and alternative health alongside of modern day medicine. I am a social worker at heart, even when not actively practicing. I think of populations of people daily who have touched my heart and who the world so often rejects or misunderstands. I love to challenge the status quo and upset people’s labeling of others or preconcieved ideas or notions and I love to challenge people to do as Christ does and look at the heart, not at the outward appearance. I believe every life as value and purpose and I love sharing mine and helping others find theirs.
I think there truly is a solution to every problem and we can find it if we take it to God in prayer, search outside the box and adapt to our changing world, accept more than we judge, laugh as we go, and never compromise our faith in God or our individual need for Christ as a personal Savior.
On my blog you’ll see a variety of topics, none of them inter-related, but all pieces of me. Hopefully, you’ll be educated, challenged, and sometimes entertained, even if you don’t agree. I warn and apologize ahead of time–I speak my mind and my heart, and tell it like it is. No offense is ever intended, but it does on occasion get me into trouble. (This should be fun for me! Yikes!)
Most of all I wish you all God’s richest blessings!
